GATORZ brings cutting-edge technology to its lineup with new Laser Defender lenses.
Having proper eye protection has long been an essential for our active military and competition shooters. More recently, laser protection has become paramount for law enforcement and other professionals who may encounter stray laser wavelengths.
GATORZ frames are made from 7075-T6 aluminum and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
This new technology uses GATORZ’s impact-resistant polycarbonate lens and infuses a special light-absorbing dye that’s treated to block the most common (and harmful) laser light wavelengths. Understanding that there are several types of lasers with different wavelengths, the company has designed four different lens options to cover the majority of shooters.
Available in both Magnum and Specter frames from GATORZ, the four Laser Defender lenses include a day lens that has a VLT (Visible Light Transmission) rating of 23%, a low light lens with 40% VLT, an infrared lens with 51% VLT and a low-light photochromic lens that can move between 40-12% VLT, depending on the light you’re exposed to. The four different lenses provide protection against different variations in laser wavelengths, including red, blue, green, violet, and the invisible infrared spectrum.
