Six months after the release of The Weeknd’s last studio album Dawn FMsuperproducer Mike Dean has blessed fans with an official remix of one of the project’s signature tracks, “Starry Eyes.”
Just before the release, Dean was announced as the opener for Weeknd’s upcoming After Hours Till Dawn stadium tour, which kicks off July 8 in Toronto and concludes in Los Angeles on September 2.
4:20 multi-instrumentalist Dean, who will open for his “Knowledge” collaborator every night of the tour with a “Improv Synth Ensemble” took to Instagram on Friday to express his excitement about the concert.
“Excited to open for my brother @theweeknd with a solo synth set,” he captioned a photo of the tour poster.
Snoh Aalegra and Kaytranada will serve as openers alongside Mike Dean. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive tour merchandise from the legendary producer.
The news comes just two months after Pigeons & Planes announced their upcoming Dean-produced compilation album.
“Sometimes I just see something on Instagram and contact the person on DM,” he said of the project. “That’s how probably half the projects start.”
