BARRINGTON, NJ, Nov. 23, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Edmund Optics®, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of optical components, is pleased to offer two new lenses from AdlOptica that enable a growing range of laser optical applications. This product extension includes objective lenses that minimize optical aberrations for improved focus and multiple focal depths for advanced material processing.
AdlOptica aplanoXX Aplan objectives are designed for use with ultra-fast semiconductor and fiber lasers and are optimized for 800 nm (Ti: sapphire) and 1030 nm (Tb: doped) wavelengths. These lenses compensate for spherical aberration and coma when focusing light on glass, sapphire, silicon carbide, silicon, PMMA and other transparent materials. These lenses are ideal for glass micromachining, 3D nanofabrication, waveguide recording and selective laser etching.
AdlOptica foXXus multi-focal lenses focus laser light into one, two or four focal points along the optical axis, increasing effective depth of field and enabling high-speed multi-layer cutting of fragile materials such as glass, sapphire and silicon carbide. These objectives are optimized for ultra-fast semiconductor and fiber lasers of 515/1030 nm or 1064 nm wavelength such as Yb and Nd:YAG doped lasers.
